As we celebrate YOU, our Classroom Hero & Star Supporter, we want to express our heartfelt and sincerest gratitude for investing in our youth in Liberia. Did you know this is a co-investment? Our students paid a $75 registration fee to enroll in our tuition-free courses. This fee covers their uniforms, ID cards, and basic learning materials such as course hand-outs. Your investment as a Classroom Hero is providing the necessary practical materials for us to teach Catering, Cosmetology, Electrician, Plumbing, and Tailoring vocational training skills to youth in Liberia.

In our last newsletter, we mentioned that we wired $4,300 to buy these learning supplies. The funds arrived in Liberia on Thursday, and the shopping started on Friday. The photo on the left shows some of the supplies you helped purchase for our electrician course. As you can see, our students will get hands-on experience with installing lights and outlets.

Your investment in our students is going to enhance their learning experience. Since we started our courses on February 1st, 2017, our students have been working weekly to develop their skills. This short video slide-show illustrates this effort being given by our cosmetology students, who practice cutting/plaiting hair, and giving manicures to volunteers.
